Zazenkai means “day of zazen.” Come join us for a day of meditation cultivating mindful presence. By putting aside our usual busy multitasking mind, we begin to open up our awareness of the life that surrounds us and listen deeply to our own direct experience. Many practitioners find that that these retreats significantly deepen their relationship to meditation and understanding of how zazen informs daily life.
One day retreats are suitable to newcomers and celebrates the mind of the beginner. The day begins with complete instruction in meditation and Zen forms of practice. Throughout this silent retreat, we will mediate while sitting and walking, practice mindful eating and silent work, enjoy a period of rest as well as have time for group questions and reflection.

2:00 – 2:30 Gentle Yoga or walk
2:30 – 2:45 Dharma Talk
2:45 – 3:45- Zazen/ Kinhin/ Zazen
