Completely At Home: Online Sesshin
February 2 @ 6:00 am - February 5 @ 11:00 am
$150
This retreat is ideal for those who will benefit from a modified schedule based on needs of the body and life responsibilities that must be honored. Doing a sesshin at home has its benefits and challenges that together create a powerful container when supported by the sangha. An online sesshin enriches our home practice, inviting the stillness and presence of zazen to inform the way we meet the our ordinary daily life.
During online retreats, participants meet on Zoom throughout the day either in silence, for service or consultation with the teacher. Much of the retreat will be conducted offline practicing zazen, mindful work practice and silent meals. Ideally, participants keep the recommended daily schedule. However, it is possible to submit an alternative schedule to the Shuso in the case where one has to honor work or family obligations that cannot be set aside.
Teachings for this retreat will center around the 16 Bodhisattva Precepts that are guides to how we move through the world with wisdom and compassion. The Precepts are invitations to realize what it means to be “completely at home.”
