
Zazenkai: One Day Zen Retreat

Zazenkai means “day of zazen.” Come join us for meditation cultivating moment to moment mindful presence while sitting, walking, eating and resting. By putting aside our usual worries, we begin to open up our awareness of the life that surrounds us and listen deeply to our own direct experience. Many practitioners rely upon these retreats to renew and deepen their relationship to meditation and understand how zazen informs daily life.
One day retreats are suitable to newcomers. Zazenkai celebrates the mind of the beginner. The schedule includes meditation while sitting and walking, practice of mindful eating and silent work, rest period, contemplation, dharma teaching and sharing. Participants are required to attend the full day from beginning to close.
