One Day Silent Retreat followed by Jukai

This day long silent retreat is dedicated to our commitment to practice for the care of all life however we experience this. The evening will end with a Jukai ceremony during which several members will formally enter the Buddhist path of practice. Please come to support and witness their vows. While we engage the ritual Zen activities of zazen, walking meditation, mindful work and eating, teachings will be offered on the meaning of the upcoming Jukai ceremony, including themes of becoming one with one’s karma, taking refuge, and doing good by meeting all conditions with an awakened mind.

For this retreat, partial attendance is acceptable and we encourage as many as possible to attend the evening dinner and Jukai ceremony.
